No golden are allowed to be kept/housed outdoors
All foster homes and adoptive homes must agree to have locks on any outside gates and/or fences
Foster families and adoptive families have access to baby gates, crates and exercise pens during the foster period.  Adoption committee members routinely check in with the foster/adopter to insure things are going smoothly.
Considerations for Intake/Surrender AZGRC conducts a phone interview with people who wish to surrender their golden to us and we complete an intake form that outlines medical, behavior and basic information about the dog.  We ask for a photo to be e-mailed or mailed to verify that we are indeed dealing with a golden retreiver.
When there are behavior or bite incidents, AZGRC retains an animal behaviorist to conduct an evaluation before bringing the dog into the system.
