Charlotte County branch of Golden Rescue in Naples, Inc. that was formed, incorporated and obtained 501(C)(3) status in 2004. 

Policies:
The program has written policies.
This program accepts Golden Retrievers and Golden mixes only.
Program considers adopting out of area only after exhausting defined service area for Goldens with special needs.
Program requires return of dog if adopter cannot keep
Program takes ownership of the dog upon Intake.
Program require Home Visit before Adoption approval.
Program follows up with adopter after placement.
Dogs are observed and evaluated before adoption.
All dogs are spayed/neutered before placement (unless medically contraindicated)
All dogs receive all vaccines and regionally-appropriate tests before adoption
All adopted dogs must be kept inside as family companions and must be kept on leash in non-fenced areas.
Program will adopt to homes without fencing only if appropriate for the dog after our evaluation.
Obedience training is a requirement of some adoptions.
Proper veterinary care is required.

Considerations for Intake/surrender: Will take all ages from puppy to senior, most health issues and behavior problems except dangerous, aggressive dogs to people and/or other dogs after evaluation.
