This program uses foster homes and boarding facilities.
Program works with purebred Golden Retrievers only.
Will consider adoptions out of the area if no local adopters can be found, and a home visit can be arranged
Requires return of the dog to the program if adopter cannot keep.
Requires a home visit before adoption approval
Program follows up with adopter after placement.
Dogs are observed and evaluated before adoption.
Dogs receive all vaccines (Rabies, Dhlpp and other regionally-appropriate vaccines) before adoption.
Dogs have all tests (heartworm, fecal and other regionally-appropriate tests) before adoption
All dogs are altered (spayed or neutered) before adoption.
Other notes: Program is a combination of referral (making contacts between dog's owner and possible adopter) and full service (program legally accepting the dog).
